CECAS Public Launch a Big Success!

Green Skibbereen would like to thank everyone who attended our launch on Sunday the 26th of September, it was a fantastic day with fascinating talks and lots of exciting ideas coming from the local community. You can read more about the day on our website, download the feasibility reports and tell us what you thought of the event via our online survey. We’d love to hear your feedback on what worked for you and what didn’t!

New Dates for Markets @ CECAS

Join us for our regular zero-waste market on October 27th from 10.30am-2.30pm, but this time with a spooky Hallowe’en theme! As well as the usual stalls with food, gifts, plants, arts, crafts and more we will have some special activities for small people, including face painting and a pumpkin carving competition competition. We are also planning a Green Christmas Market for the 5th of December so save the date!

Green Skibbereen at Cork PPN Launch

Cork County Public Participation Network (PPN) is a network of community, voluntary, social inclusion and environmental organisations, working to build better communities across the county. Green Skibbereen Directors Noel Casserly and Jose Ospina (also Chair of fellow PPN member organisation, Carbery Housing Association) recently attended the official launch with the Mayor of Cork County, Cllr. Gillian Coughlan.

Garden Tidy-Ups Every Sunday

Regular Garden Tidy-Ups will now take place every Sunday from 2.30pm-4.30pm from the 10th of October. Can you give us two volunteer hours of weeding and tidying in beautiful Myross Wood House to help us prepare for the launch of CECAS and to make sure the garden is looking its best? Please bring enthusiasm, gloves and hand tools and we will provide tea and cake.
