Join Vanbrugh & Friends at CECAS, Myross Wood House, Leap, Co. Cork. The Vanbrugh has evolved from the work of the legendary Vanbrugh Quartet. Over three decades the quartet gave close to three thousand concerts, presenting the chamber music repertoire to audiences throughout Ireland, Europe, the Americas and the Far East. Commercial recordings include more than thirty CDs of repertoire, ranging from the complete Beethoven quartets to many contemporary Irish works. In 2016 the group was presented with the National Concert Hall’s Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of their contribution to music in Ireland.

Learn how to sustainably collect, save and store native wildflower seeds. This fun and empowering exercise is hugely important for protecting diversity and this project will be focused on local wildflower seeds. You will learn about wildflower seed identification in order to be able to make proper selections for seed saving. You will also learn about seed harvesting, storing and growing.

Join Wild Work for a family-friendly, fun and challenging nature scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunts are a great way to get kids exploring and discovering the natural world. Wild Work will help you learn more about what you found and give you a hand with any items you didn’t! This event will take place outdoors in the grounds of Myross Wood House.

CECAS and Mindhaven are delighted to be hosting a free three week programme aimed at anyone who is experiencing isolation, loneliness or a need to connect with others in a meaningful way. Faciltated by Susan O'Regan, and supported by CETB and the Reach Fund, this programme will have a strong focus on learning and practicing mindfulness techniques, and immersion and activity in nature.
