Green Sketching Workshop with Anne Harrington Rees

April 13 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Whatever our age, we can all benefit from spending time in nature, being in the moment and relaxing. Join me for a couple of hours of doodling outdoors, in the beautiful surroundings of Myross Wood House, Leap.

We will use sketching to help us really see the beauty around us. If we learn to appreciate nature, we will grow to love our wild places and want to look after them. And hopefully spread the word that Nature is our Home, not just a place to visit.
This is not a ‘How to Draw’ workshop. You need no artistic experience to join in. Green Sketching is not about creating mini masterpieces.
What matters is the process, that you take time to look and really see elements in the landscape that spark joy for you. Hopefully, at the end of the two hours, you’ll leave the workshop with your spirits lifted and feeling more relaxed.

Please Note:
All materials will be provided. No prior drawing experience is needed.
Tea/Coffee will be available at the end of the workshop.
There are toilets on site.
This is an outdoor event. Please come prepared for all weathers. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
There are tarmac pathways on site, but also uneven woodland walks with steps. Our route can be decided on the day, depending on the group’s ability.
If you find standing around tiring, you might like to bring along a waterproof cushion or fold-up stool.
Maximum group size of ten.
Parking is in front of the building or in the courtyard to the rear.
I reserve the right to cancel a workshop with insufficient bookings.
If this happens, I will refund all fees.

Cost: €60
There are no handling, booking or delivery charges.
