Forest ecosystem restoration from the West Coast of Canada to the West Coast of Ireland
Join ecologist Christopher Drake in his talk about lessons learned while helping to restore Myross Wood House woods at CECAS.
Chis runs an environmental stewardship business on the Canadian Salt Spring Island – www.coastalliveservices.ca – and has been on sabbatical in Ireland, writing a handbook on stewardship/restoration and also volunteering with CECAS.
Hear about the similarities and differences of controlling invasive plants, planting native species, and enhancing wildlife habitats. It will be an entertaining and informative evening.
